Cambridge!

I made it to Cambridge, UK and settled in quite nicely. I haven’t yet taken my camera around this beautiful town, but I will be sure to do that very very soon. In the mean time, I took a few pictures on my phone of just SOME  of the beautiful buildings here. I am in love with the architecture and history of this town, everything is so beautiful and grand and quaint and a thousand other adjectives I’m sure I could think of to describe this place. I am so excited to see more! Oh, and I finally purchased a Cambridge satchel bag I’ve been wanting from the store itself :). Enjoy these camera phone quality pictures in the mean time and I’ll be sure to make up for it later 😀

What My Relationships Have Taught Me:

  1. People can be real life, breathing and thriving assholes to you for what seems to be no reason at all.
  2. Those reasons usually have nothing to do with you and everything to do with them.
  3. You should just pray that those people find peace and continue to be a happy and fabulous you.
  4. Heartbreak is a blessing and a curse. Even though it hurts like hell, when the heart ache is gone you will have grown in ways you didn’t think you needed to. Some of the best lessons learned are the ones you didn’t think you needed to learn.
  5. Love doesn’t die. Months will go by, years will go by, and whether you keep in contact with them or not, you will still love them. The love may change, but it never dies.
  6. Dating your best friend, someone who has seen you at your worst, best, and everything in between, and having it not go horribly awry, is one of the most beautiful loves. It’s natural, it grows, and it’s so incredibly fun!
  7. Every relationship doesn’t have to be serious—too much pressure can ruin a good thing.
  8. Lifelong friendships are effortless, unexpected, and priceless. One day you’ll realize, “Wow, this person has become someone I tell everything to and I didn’t even have to think twice about it. You’re my best friend.”
  9. As child-like as that last one sounds, that’s how it should be. Great friendships carry a childlike awe about them no matter how old you get.
  10. Don’t regret any relationships, no matter how quick, how long, how heartbreaking, and how breathtaking—they all teach you something and it’s usually something about yourself.
  11. Love yourself first. Always.
  12. People can do you wrong in ways from A-Z and everyone around you will tell you exactly what you already know, but until YOU are done, you will continue to go back. Love can be blind, but we all have our limits.
  13. When it comes down to it, love is one thing in this ephemeral world that is never ending. It’s abundant, it’s beautiful, it’s pure, and it satisfies life’s quenches. People will fight their way to the top of whatever they deem is their success, but how does that saying go? It’s lonely at the top. Love is what’s important, it’s what is necessary to truly be happy. Petty arguments are just that, petty. My love is never-ending, it’s pure, and it’s the truth. No one can take that away from me.
